Bad actors have been busy recently:
Atrium Health has disclosed a breach involving online tracking technologies on its patient portal, exposing the personal data of 585,000 individuals to third-party vendors.
A hacker, Nam3L3ss, has leaked sensitive data from 27 major companies, exposing over 772,000 employee records and a separate 12-million-row database from Jones Lang LaSalle.
USAID contractor Chemonics International suffered a data breach that compromised the personal information of over 263,000 individuals.
XT Exchange has reportedly experienced $1.7 million stolen in tokens and has halted all transactions to conduct investigations.
RECOPE, Costa Rica's largest oil refinery, after a cyberattack crippled its system,s has been forced to switch to manual operations.
A hacker exploited a vulnerability in Clipper DEX's API and stole nearly $500,000 worth of Total Value Locked (TVL) crypto tokens.
Signzy, a KYC service provider, had a security breach when customer data appeared on hacker forums, traced back to an employee's infection by an infostealer malware.
Indian pharmaceutical giant Cipla has been hit by a cyberattack from the Akira ransomware group, exfiltrating 70GB of sensitive data from the multinational company.
A misconfigured MongoDB database has exposed 30 million private links and sensitive user data from the link-sharing platform Safelinking.net.
Iranian state-sponsored hackers are suspected of accessing the communications of Kash Patel, Donald Trump's nominee for FBI Director.

Chinese couple arrested for ordering DDoS attacks: Japanese authorities have arrested a Chinese couple for orchestrating DDoS attacks against a Kyoto sports gym's website after their business partnership proposal was rejected. The attacks were arranged through WeChat, targeting the gym’s online services in retaliation.
Founder of Hydra sentenced to life in prison: Stanislav Moiseyev, founder of the notorious Hydra dark web marketplace, was sentenced to life in prison by a Moscow court. Hydra, which was seized by German authorities, was a significant hub for the illegal drug trade across Europe and Russia, with Moiseyev's 15 accomplices receiving prison sentences ranging from eight to 23 years.
Nebraska man pleads guilty to stealing $1 million: Charles O. Parks has pleaded guilty to running an illegal crypto mining operation, exploiting $3.5 million in cloud resources to mine over $1 million in cryptocurrency. Parks avoided payment by using fake companies, then funnelled the proceeds into luxury purchases and NFTs while structuring financial transactions to evade U.S. reporting laws.
UK authorities arrest 84 in multi-billion-dollar operation: UK authorities have dismantled two major money laundering operations, Smart and TGR, allegedly used by drug cartels, ransomware gangs, and Russian espionage groups, arresting 84 individuals linked to the laundering of billions of dollars through cryptocurrencies and front companies.
